I picked up this book because I loved the blurb. It sounded like exactly something I would read. I'm a huge fan of shifters, mates, and some supernatural intrigue!The storyline was really good. It had a lot of twists and surprises along the way. There were a few elements that were told early on, and I just waited for them to come to fruition at some point in the book.
The characters were great. I actually liked that Anna Lissa spoke intermittent French throughout. It gave her a unique personality that really helped to build her character. Max was also an interesting character. The author kept throwing surprises about Max all through the story and I liked that he wasn't predictable.
The author also did a good job creating unique supporting characters. They all had strong personalities, but were all very different. I really enjoyed the way they resolved the conflict with the antagonist. When all the shocking truths came to light, there were hard decisions the main characters had to make.
(My only three issues with this book were (for me, not for most people) : 1. the POV is told completely from Max. I don't enjoy the guy' sPOV in most books. 2. I wish she translated a little more of the french Anna Lissa spoke. 3. The next book in the series is told from another male character's POV, and it's a new couple. I personally like the characters I grew to love continue the story on to the next book.)
I loved how the family issues resolve and the bonds that are created with the characters. Overall, this story gets four glittery stars for being a great read!

Loved this series! Was full of surprises! Not at all what I thought, great humor and love of characters plus the action was great as well. Another great addiction. Elizabeth is a wonderful writer. Another fave series of mine!
This was a book I got for free thru and I love the idea of mates, so this hit the spot, while it was a YA book I didn't feel how I normally do while reading them, this book has it all, a strong heroine and a Simi alpha hero, I can't want to see what else is in store for this group of characters.
I loved this book! it was action packed from the very beginning. I liked that the book was in Max's point of view. I always wonder what the guy is thinking in the books I read. I really loved the idea of the book. It was so unique involving both fae and shifters. The book was very light. I liked that a little bit but sometimes I felt it was too light and never really got the depth it needed.
Max is definitely my new book boyfriend. He is so sweet and amazing. He does what he can to protect his mate Anna. I liked how well he handled everything too. Anna was pretty cool. I liked how strong she was. She was perfect for Max. Tony was a pretty awesome character. I liked how he stuck by Max's side all the way. It was pretty interesting learning about him too.
Overall the book was really good. I couldn't get enough of it. The characters were great and so was the storyline. Their were just a few things I didn't like. One of them being what I mentioned earlier. The other is that I felt that everything was too easy. That the whole thing ran too smoothly. It just felt not life like or really when it happened like that sometimes. I can't wait to read the next book though and see Tony's story!

Max Fergus is a typical teenage boy, loving football and trying to decide if his long time girlfriend is what he wants in life. Then Anna Lissa Felidae comes into his life. Now he notices her right away, but he also notices that he has started hearing things. The fact is he is not sure if they are coming form her or his imagination. He likes the fact that Anna Lissa wants to be friends but he soon realizes she is a lot more than just another pretty girl. Anna Lissa has a secret, one that is going to change the life of Max Fergus forever.
Max begins to realize that shifters, werewolves, and Fae are not just story material. When he finally realizes what is going on with Anna Lissa he has to go and ask more questions of his mother and finds out what his life is truly about.
Max and Anna Lissa have to find away to stay together. There are those in their shifter tribe that want Max out of the way. With the help of the goddess Max learns what it truly means to be what he is and how much Anna Lissa really means to him. You have to read to find out everything that happens to try and tear these two fated lovers apart and how with the goddess help they are able to stay together.

Magic and love entwine this nice novel. Though I expected a different kind of story, the plot took me satisfactorily by surprise. The reading is smooth, fun, and light, which made it so pleasant.
I specially liked the telepathic link between Max and Anna, what gives this soul mate relation a spicy touch. Besides, Tony's role as the special human friend was indeed needed and I loved the magical Fae world to which I was introduced.
I would only have liked a little more depth in the protagonists' personalities, however the experience was higher than the expectations.
So, I give it four bright stars to be your next fantastic read!
